Outdoor, Wood-fired OvensEBR's experience in refractory means that we are often called in to investigate why some outdoor ovens fail to achieve their owners’ expectations. Although many people are encouraged to have a go at building their own pizza ovens and black and white wood-fired ovens, in our experience, if you want an outdoor oven which cooks as well or better than conventional ovens, you really need refractory products and a little advice. It's not as easy as it appears to make a real wood-fired oven and most are simply variations on earth ovens. These can crack, crumble and usually produce burned food.For this reason we built our own outdoor oven and several others of varying sizes and designs and are confident we can supply a well designed product which will work extremely well. We are happy to work to your design or ours and can create a masterpiece to create a focal point for any outdoor gathering. Thermo-probes or hand held, laser, digital thermometers can be supplied and installed. Outdoor ovens are ideal for all kinds of clubs and marae but also add charm to the garden and the ability to produce delicious food while socialising with friends at home. Anything which can be cooked in a conventional oven may be cooked in an outdoor, wood-fired oven and the improvement to flavour and texture is something that has to be experienced to be believed.
